At the start of your end phase, an opponent chooses one of the following. (1) They can't draw a card during their next start phase. (2) They can't increase their maximum play points by 1 during their next start phase. (3) They can't play followers during their next main phase.

Q. If my opponent chooses option 3, can they still put followers onto their field or summon tokens with cards like Death's Breath and Pinion Prayer?

A. Yes. Playing a spell or ability isn't playing a follower. However, some abilities do involve playing a follower. For example, Amerro, Spear Knight's On Evolve ability says, "Select a Heroic card in your cemetery and play it for 0 play points." Your opponent can't put followers onto their field with such abilities.

Q. If I have 2 copies of this follower on my field at the start of my end phase, does my opponent have to choose 2 different options?

A. No. Your opponent can choose the same option twice, which would essentially be the same as choosing that option once.
